Video Interviews and Your Data
A company that uses KASAUTI IQ may invite you to a video interview. This page explains what is recorded, why, who sees it, how long it is kept and how to have it deleted. The company inviting you is responsible for your data; KASAUTI IQ runs the service for it.
What Is Recorded
Only what you agree to on the page you join from. If the interview is recorded: your video, your voice and anything you share on screen, and a written transcript made while the interview takes place.
If integrity checks are on: your browser checks that one face is in view (this check runs on your device; no video leaves it for this), notes when you switch tabs or windows, asks you to share your screen in technical interviews, and takes a photo from your camera every few minutes.
If only tab-switch notices are on: the interviewers are told when you leave the interview tab or window, or paste a lot of text. Your camera and screen aren't checked and no photos are taken.
When you have the code editor, the code you write and the results of running it are saved. What you write in the notepad is saved too, and the interviewers can read it.
Why
So the people interviewing you can review the interview fairly and consistently, and so the company can check that the interview was taken by you, without help.
AI
If you agree, the transcript and the interviewers' notes are summarised by AI (Claude, by Anthropic) into a draft report. A person reviews and edits it and makes every decision. The AI does not look at your appearance, voice, accent or emotions, and no decision about you is made automatically.
Who Sees It
Only people at the company you applied to who interview you or review interviews for the role. Each service that handles the recording or transcript does so only for KASAUTI IQ, under a data processing agreement, and doesn't keep it for itself.
How Long It Is Kept
Each company sets this within limits. Recordings are kept between 30 and 365 days after the interview (90 by default), photos between 7 and 180 days (30 by default), and transcripts and reports between 90 and 1095 days (365 by default). They are then deleted automatically.
Having Your Data Deleted
Ask the company that interviewed you, using the contact in your invitation email. They can delete your recordings, photos, transcripts, reports and notes from every interview. Requests are handled within 30 days.
